Noël had Seattle Art Museum in mind for her internship right from the start of her graduate program. Based on an undergraduate degree in Art History and a strong connection to Asian inspired artworks, the missions and collections of the Seattle Art Museum seemed to offer the perfect internship opportunity. She learned more about the museum after a speaker came to Syracuse University: Maryann Jordan. Jordan discussed the extensive community involvement of the museum, a trait that made the museum an even more ideal choice. The vast distance between New York State and Washington State may have made some uneasy, but for Noel the opportunity to live and work in Seattle was exciting.
